Life and Times of Mark
Introduction
My name is Mark Weathersbee. I am 29 as of February the 3rd of this year. I currently live in a small town named Statesboro. It is an ok place but there is simply little to do here so to have much fun you must go to Savannah. I’m in my final semester at Georgia Southern University as a History Major with a Physics Minor. I love skydiving and scuba diving but due to a motorcycle accident I have not been able to do neither lately. I spend most of my time reading, playing WoW, working on computers and building water cooling systems for my friends, and working out. I’m an Auburn football fanatic; so on any given Saturday you can likely find me watching the game. WDE!
Life
Well my life has taken me for quite a ride. I grew up in a small town in Georgia named Chester. It’s small with one gas station and no red light. Well after 18 years here and upon graduating from High School I left the small town for the United States Army. I joined the Army where I attended basic training at Fort Benning, still couldn’t get out of Georgia for some reason. After basic training I was given the option to attend Airborne training, I thought sure why not it sounded fun. After Airborne training the Army gave me a chance at a becoming a Ranger. After weeks of hell I made it through as a Ranger. While in the Army I got to see a lot of the world. I still want to see more of it. This was not to last forever as I broke my leg in a jump at Fort Bragg. I was discharged medically from the Army. At this point I got a job and worked full time while going to college at Middle Georgia College part time. After several years of this I decided it was time to get the hell out of my job in management and graduate from college so I changed and went to school full time and worked part time.
College
I started at Middle Georgia College as an Electrical Engineering Major. I made the President’s list once and the Dean’s list three times, with two of these being a 4.0 GPA. I transferred to Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. After coming to Statesboro I entered the GTREP, which stands for Georgia Tech Regional Engineering Program. After one year of this and a COOP I decided I hated engineering. I looked at other areas to go into but didn’t like any of them. I eventually settled on History as a major due to two professors, Emerson McMullen and Charles Briggs. After becoming a History major I discovered I needed to declare a minor. I first picked Physics as I already had several classes and just love the subject. I was later told by the registrar office that I can’t use Physics as a minor for a History major so I changed to a Classical Medieval minor.
